Shipping Policies

Your tracking number will be emailed to you on the day your order ships.  Please know that it might take 3-10 days to get a standard order, longer during a holiday season.  Upgrade to Fed Ex if you need it sooner.

Rush orders - Our chocolates take up to a few days to process because they are handmade to order.  Depending on the size of your order, we may impose a surcharge of 10-20% for rush orders.  If the chocolate order is small, we may be able to ship it the same day and without a rush fee, please email us if you have questions.  Most foil wrapped chocolate novelties that are stocked may ship on same day and without any rush fee. 

Shipping Fees below are approximate and may vary slightly if the contents are heavy or need a cooler pack.  We try to use UPS to save you money.  Anything over 2 lbs. to the West Coast or Midwest may have a higher price than what is quoted below for UPS.

Shipping Guarantees:  In most cases your order will be shipped within 72 hours (excluding weekends and holidays), but depending on the size of your order and if items are in stock, that might lengthen the time.  Email your needs to us.  We will try to help you if you are in a rush.  Please be patient, we're not a big company (yet)!  We recommend that you purchase insurance to guard against loss or damage.** 

Carrier Shipped Late:  We cannot issue a refund for merchandise if your order arrives late by any carrier, so please order with plenty of time to spare for replacement or a delivery failure.  If you were not available to sign for a scheduled delivery, this does not constitute a late delivery.  Please be available to sign for your package or have it delivered to someone or some place that it may be signed for.  If your package arrives beyond your due date, you will be responsible for return/restocking fees.  If your package has edible/non-returnable items, your package will be redirected to you at your expense, we will not accept it back.

Chocolate orders - Our chocolates are made to order, mostly they are not stocked.  Please consider that this takes a little extra time with shipping.  We especially need a few extra days during holidays so order plenty of time in advance.  Large and custom orders can take up to a week or more to process.  Please call or email us if you have a deadline.  We do not replace melted chocolate shipments!  We have a great success rate for safe arrivals, but order at your own risk.  See our Return Policy  Keep your package in a cool place, 75° F or lower.  Do not refrigerate unless your chocolates seem a little warm, and only for a few minutes until set.  For more information click on storing your chocolates

We ship from New York State in discreet packaging with NCS as the return address. 

APO, FPO, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands and US Territories for UPS at no extra charge, please add on an extra day or two.  We cannot track packages to military addresses, but we will have proof of shipment.  If the package does not arrive, we will not be responsible for any losses, theft or damage.  If the package is returned because of insufficient address or military personnel has been relocated, you will be responsible for reshipping or restocking fees.  No refunds for returned or damaged edible items.

Shipments to Warm Climates for Chocolates:  For orders going to a destination or being trucked through an area that is around or over 70 degrees Fahrenheit, we will ship your order in a special insulated reusable cooler with a reusable ice pack to ensure that your chocolates or candles arrive in perfect condition.  We will add an additional $7.00 (depending on the size of your order) to your shipping charges on your invoice for this special packaging automatically.  This covers the cost of extra shipping weight and supplies.  We only ship by this method Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday so that the ice pack doesn't melt over the weekend.  We will not replace your melted shipment shipmnets.  If your package is insured, insurance will not cover melting, only broken chocolates.

Policy Note:  Our carriers will not insure chocolate or perishable goods if your items are melted.  Please try to be available to receive your package when it's delivered.  Consider having it delivered to work, instead of the box waiting for you on your front porch where it might be warm.  Also, if you get mail at the end of the day, that means the chocolates will be on a hot vehicle all day.  This also applies if you are shipping chocolates as a gift.  Please notify the recipient or find out when is the best time to deliver.  We will ship discreetly with NCS. as the return address.  We deliver to P.O. boxes.  Please call or email us if you have any questions.  Returns & Policies

Wrong Address Provided:  If you provide us with the wrong address and your package is returned to us, we will re-direct your package with the correct address you provide at your expense. If the package is lost or delivered to a wrong address because of not having the correct address, we will not be responsible.  We will not be responsible for the additional postage required to redirect your package. 

Package Returned:  If your package was returned to us because you were left a notification and you failed to pick the package up or the package is marked unclaimed with the correct address or the package was delivered during a vacation period, we must apply shipping charges again if you want the package redirected to you or to another address.  We will bill your credit card or you will have to send a money order for the original amount of shipping again.  If you refuse a package that you did indeed order, we do not offer refunds.  Your package will be redirected to you at your expense.  If we mailed your package with the correct address and the post office returns the package to us for any reason, you will be responsible for the return shipping.  You would have to make a claim with the post office.

Backorders:  You will be contacted if we are out of stock on an item. 

Do I need Express Shipping?  We ship from New York State, so consider you'll get your package sooner if you're in the east.  If you need your package by by a certain date we cannot guarantee you'll get your package on time.  From the day  your order is shipped with this service, it could take up to 7 business days for delivery to the West Coast.  99% of the time, packages always arrive within 2 - 5 days from the time we ship it with our service.

Large Orders:  We cannot guarantee your large order will go out the same day, please call us to see what we have in stock and if we can accommodate you - 607-207-2045.  We make your chocolates to order, we handpaint most of them so we need just a little bit of time.

Why are shipping prices so high?  UPS postal rates went up and are very high.  We also have to add the cost of packing materials and time put into shipping your package.  We really try to be fair with costs and give you the best service possible with products that won't be damaged during shipping.

We charge New York residents 8% sales tax.

Return Policies

Important Information!  We want you to be happy with your purchase, so please order with care.  We do not accept returns on many of our products*.  If you have questions about a product, shipping or our policies, please call or email us before you place your order.  Whatever problems or questions you have, we are sure we can help you and if know our terms then we won't have any miscommunication. 

Returns:  Items that may be returned for store credit are items that we can resell and have not been used or opened*.  The packaging (box, bag or tags) must be in pristine condition.  You will be issued a code to use for your future purchase or exchange when you order on line.  Shipping is not included for your exchange if you change what you originally purchased.  If you do not want a store credit, all merchandise that qualifies for return is subject to a 20% restocking fee.  Please do not send return packages postage due or without an RA# as they will be returned to you.  You must contact us within 72 hours of receipt of your merchandise and you must ship with an RA number on the return box.  You  must ship your item back to us within two weeks of receipt, even if the order was wrong or damaged.  If you do not have an RA number on the box, it will be returned to you or you will invalidate any refund.  We do not issue refunds on shipping costs. 

*Non-returnable items are:  Anything edible, chocolates, truffles, candies. Even if you never opened the package, they are not returnable.  All sales are final on these items.  If you have a defective product, see Damaged Items below. 

Canceling Orders:  If your item has been on backorder for more than two weeks, you may cancel your order without penalty.

Defective Items:  Please contact us first for return shipping instructions and to receive a return authorization number (RA#).  We will exchange the damaged item with the exact same replacement and ship it back to you via ground services once we have received your authorized return.  The same policy stands for items shipped as a gift.  Either you or the gift recipient may make arrangements for replacement.  You must request insurance if you are to make any damage claim.  Perishable items cannot be insured by any carrier.  Please do not ship your package back to us with postage due or refuse a late Fed Ex shipment.  Postage due packages will be refused and Fed Ex refusal shipments will incur a $12 fee billed to you.  We test and inspect all products for perfection before they are shipped to you.
